READING

We continue to read chapter books and non fiction with longer passages.Comprehension is a major focus.Some of the higher level skills for the month are explicit facts, drawing conclusions, and making judgements and inferences.Students should have 22 reading responses by the end of the month.

WRITING

Persuasive writing is the focus for March,

MATH

Please continue working with the multiplication and division facts at home. We will start multiplying a two digit number by a one digit number soon. This is difficult to do if there is not a good working knowledge of the basic math facts.We are also dividing with remainders and knowing the basic facts is very important.
