Welcome back for the second half of 3rd grade. It's hard to believe the school year is half over!

MATH
We continue to work on the multiplication facts. Keep practcing them at home. We will be using rulers to measure in both metric and customary units. We'll aslo be measuring area annd perimeter.
READING
We continue to read chapter books in guided reading. Students should be reading about 20 minutes a night at home. Keep working on the goal of 25 books read and responses written by the end of the school year. A biography book report is being assigned. Students will be given complete instructions on what to do and how the assignment will be graded.Most of the work will be done at school. The paper plate puppet will need to be made at home. Look for the directions and due date to be attached to the Tuesday folder.
SCIENCE
We are learning about Georgia regions and the living oganisms that make their homes in these regions. We will be assigning the kids an animal from one of the regions to write a research paper on.
