REMINDER

We will be taking two standardized tests. The COGAT and the ITBS. Testing will be October 5-7 and 10-14. Testing will begin each morning at 8:00. 

 

Reading

We hve been reading fiction chapter books. Our focus is on story elements. Plot, characters, and setting. Next week we will be reading nonfiction books on rocks and menirals focusing on nofiction conventions. Student should continue to read at home for their 25 Book Goal.

Math

We have started working on multiplication. Students will work on times tables 0-10. They will also be learning about the properties of multiplication. Practice at home on the multiplication facts will be helpful.

SCIENCE

We have changed from social studies to science and are learning about rocks amd menirals.

In English we are working on the four kinds of sentences. In writing we continue to work on writing narratives using the writing process.
