HELLO Fall!!!

This week:

CogAT is Oct. 5- 7^th Please be sure your child has a good nights sleep and healthy breakfast this Wednesday-Friday for testing.  It is also important that all students are on time this week.   A BIG SHOUT OUT to those of you who are sending in snacks for our class this week during testing.  I appreciate all your support!!!

Field Trip is on Oct.19th ..we still need those permission slips to take your child off campus for the day!!!  Send in ASAP!!!  CRUNCH time!!!!

 Conference Week is Oct. 24- 28^th! (Early Dismissal that week!)  Letters will be coming home soon.  PLEASE know that I do have many siblings this year and will work with other teachers to have you come for back to back conferences.  Try to keep your assigned conference date and time!  THANKS!!! 

 Fall Festival letters were sent home...please return your dinner orders and money...it will cost more the night of the event for those who don't preorder!

Media Center is Friday, have those books!!!

Our Learning Targets for the week:

Math- Fact Families...  4+5=9, 5+4=9, 9-4=5, 9-5=4  We will use 3 numbers and make 2 addition sentences and 2 subtraction sentences!

Writing- Continue our Personal Narratives Books on feelings.

Language Arts- Nouns...person, place and/or things.

Social Studies- Our Global Address...PLEASE work with your child on reviewing their continent, country, state, city and county!  This was a kindergarten standard and we still have many students are still unable to recall this information.  We will go deeper with this discussing all 7 continents and the 5 oceans.
