Learning Targets for the Week!
Math- We are counting coins up to a dollar and making fair trades. Also, we will be talking about numbers that are 1 more, 1 less, 10 more and 10 less. What is 10 more than 43? What is 10 less than 74?
Language Arts- We continue to learn how to use the dictionary. Also we are working with words with plural sounds (-s, -es). For example box would be boxes, play would be plays, and rock would be rocks.
Writing- We will be writing a pattern book for the next 2 weeks. Students will be focusing on adding details/adjectives and learning how to extend sentences to tell us more.
Social Studies- We are identifying the contributions of Lewis and Clark with Sacagawea.
Science- We will be investigating sound. We will investigate how vibrations produce sound. Students will learn differentiate between various sounds in terms of (pitch) high or low and (volume) loud or soft. Also, we will identify emergency sounds and sounds that help us stay safe.
Enjoy your week!
