The blog will be updated every 2 weeks on what your child will be learning. Now you will be able to know what we will be doing in class for the next 2 weeks!
Conference Week is the week of Oct. 24- 28th! Remember that it is Early Release all week too!
Field Trip- Wednesday, Oct. 19th
- Only send paper sack lunches. The students will not be allowed to bring their lunch boxes.
- Dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes. Please check the weather that morning.
- Please send a snack and disposable water bottle.
Learning Targets:
Math- Identify bills ($1, $5, $10, $20) by name and value and exchange equivalent quantities by making fair trades involving combinations of bills.
Reading- We continue to work on identifying the characters, main character, setting, and retelling 4 events in the story.
Language Arts Skills- nouns, adjectives, abc (alphabetical) order, long vowels, and dictionary skills
Writing- The children are learning how to add details to expand a story. Then they will begin to learn and make pattern books.
Social Studies- Identify and describe landforms (mountains, deserts, valleys, plains, plateaus, and coasts).
Science- It is Red Ribbon Week Oct. 24- 28th! The children will identify common medicines/drugs and they will explain why children should never take drugs on their own.
